RV AC Repair in Corona That Keeps Your Road Trips Comfortable

If you’ve ever tried to relax inside your RV on a hot afternoon in Corona, you know how quickly things go wrong when the air conditioner stops working. Whether you're parked near Dos Lagos, heading out toward Cleveland National Forest, or returning from a weekend at a nearby RV park, a failing RV A/C can turn a great trip into a miserable one.

That’s where McBride’s RV Service & Paint comes in.

For RV owners throughout Corona and the surrounding Inland Empire, we provide professional RV AC repair in Corona backed by decades of experience, factory certifications, and a reputation built since 1967. Our goal is simple. Restore your comfort and get you back on the road without stress.

WHEN YOUR RV AIR CONDITIONER FAILS, IT’S MORE THAN AN INCONVENIENCE

When Your RV Air Conditioner Fails, It’s More Than an Inconvenience

RV air conditioning systems work hard, especially in Southern California heat. Over time, even high-quality rooftop units from manufacturers like Dometic can develop issues.

Many Corona RV owners come to us after noticing problems like:

  • Warm air blowing from vents

  • Weak airflow inside the coach

  • Loud or unusual noises from the rooftop unit

  • A/C units that cycle constantly but never cool

  • Electrical issues or tripped breakers

These issues often appear right before a planned trip, when you least expect them.

Our technicians understand the frustration. Your RV isn’t just a vehicle. It is part of family adventures, vacations, and weekends away. When something breaks, you want a solution that is fast, reliable, and done right the first time.

Dash A/C System Issues

Your dash A/C is responsible for keeping you comfortable while you drive. Because these systems are integrated into your chassis, problems usually stem from one of the core mechanical components. Our technicians can diagnose, service, and repair your entire dash A/C system.

Common problem areas include:

  • Worn or Leaking Hoses: Hoses endure a lot of vibration and heat, making them a common source of refrigerant leaks.
  • Compressor & Condenser Failures: If your system is blowing hot air or making strange noises, it often points to a failing compressor or condenser.
  • Clogged Evaporators & Dryers: We regularly service and replace these parts to ensure proper moisture removal and optimal cooling performance.

Roof A/C (House) Issues

Your roof A/C is your lifeline when you are parked in the summer heat. We are proud to be an authorized warranty provider for top brands like Dometic and Coleman. Most roof A/C problems are the direct result of skipped maintenance, which is why this service should be completed every 12 months.

When you skip annual maintenance, you risk the following problems:

  • Restricted Airflow: A system that struggles to push cold air is often choked by debris. During a service, our techs thoroughly clean the return filter, evaporator, condenser coil, and fan blades.
  • Water Leaks: If you notice water dripping inside your coach, it is likely a drainage or seal issue. We combat this by inspecting the drain system, seals, and gaskets.
  • Electrical or Motor Failure: A unit that won't turn on at all might have electrical faults or a seized motor. To prevent this, our technicians inspect the wiring and oil the fan motor.

Don't let the heat ruin your travel plans! If your A/C is acting up, or if it is just time for your annual roof A/C service, we are here to help. Give our Chino facility a call at (909) 627-7566 to get your RV scheduled.

WHY CORONA RV OWNERS TRUST MCBRIDE’S

Why Corona RV Owners Trust McBride’s

There are plenty of shops that can attempt RV repairs, but few offer the level of experience and resources that McBride’s provides. McBride’s has built a legacy of trust since 1967, serving as a cornerstone of the Southern California RV community for nearly six decades, with families across the Inland Empire relying on them to maintain, repair, and restore their coaches. Their Chino service center is one of the most advanced RV facilities in California, equipped with specialized tools and infrastructure rarely found in typical repair shops, including a full-size alignment rack designed for large motorhomes, a 40-foot state-of-the-art paint booth with advanced color matching technology, and comprehensive service bays capable of handling everything from mechanical repairs to body work.

This setup allows them to address nearly every RV issue under one roof. In addition, they are experienced in navigating insurance claims; if A/C damage is caused by an accident, storm damage, or an electrical failure tied to a larger claim, they work directly with major insurance providers such as National General (GMAC), Progressive, AAA, and GEICO, handling documentation and coordination so customers don’t have to deal with complicated paperwork while getting their RV repaired.

Preventing Future RV A/C Breakdowns

Many RV air conditioning failures can be avoided with routine maintenance. During your repair visit, our technicians may recommend:

  • Cleaning or replacing air filters

  • Inspecting rooftop seals and shrouds

  • Checking electrical components for early wear

  • Verifying thermostat and duct performance

These small preventative steps can dramatically extend the life of your cooling system, especially during Corona’s hottest months.

Labor rate is kinda high so I’d only use them for the stuff I couldn’t do myself. Overall good experience. Seemed like it was there longer than needed could’ve been waiting on parts not sure. I’d use them again. - 6/17/2026

I took my 1997 renovation project Fleetwood PaceArrow in for major mechanical service. I also paid for an hour of inspection on my failed slide out and got a great quote on the labor and parts for when I'm ready to invest in that repair next. I was a little weary initially that the service price on the phone when I called was told to me as around $500 range and then in person at drop-off the price was actually around $900 for the major service. But the girl who took my appointment over the phone had warned me that she was new and wasn't certain of the prices on anything. The service was great and I'm glad I chose to continue despite the wide price difference to what I was anticipating. Mike and Danny are stellar, and I know the place I'll be bringing my renovation back to with any repair needs in the future that I can't handle myself. The quotes for the slide out, and suggested drive train work, were both also very reasonable. - 6/04/2026

Took my toy hauler for an estimate to fix slide, generator and transfer fuel pump. Parts needed to be ordered and since I had a trip coming up I picked up my trailer. When parts arrived took it back and it was completed in 2 days. Their staff is very friendly. What I really like about them is their scheduling. Gave me a date and time for both drop offs and pick ups. I was very satisfied with their work and highly recommend them. - 3/12/2026
