What causes RV awnings to fail in the Inland Empire?
Two local conditions do most of the damage here, and both are worth understanding because they change how often you should have the awning checked.
First, the sun. Chino summers regularly run past 95 degrees and the UV load on an awning parked at home in Chino, Ontario, or Rancho Cucamonga is relentless. Can you just replace the awning fabric instead of the whole awning?
Usually yes. If the arms, roller tube, and motor are sound, we re-cover the roller with new fabric and you keep the rest of the assembly. We confirm the hardware is sound during the inspection.
Do you work on both Dometic and Carefree awnings?

My power awning will not extend. Is that the motor?
Not always. A power awning that will not move can be the motor, the control board, the wind sensor, or a power supply fault. We diagnose the cause rather than assume the motor, which often saves the larger part.
