RV Repair in Upland: Getting You Back to the Destination

If you have spent any time navigating the local roads—maybe heading toward Mount Baldy or just cruising down Foothill Boulevard—you know how quickly the mood shifts when the rig starts acting up. A minor rattle or a flickering light usually isn't just a quirk. It is often the first sign that your trip is about to take an unplanned detour.

Finding a shop you actually trust is the difference between a quick fix and a lingering headache. For those of us in Upland, the goal is simple: we want to get back on the road without wondering if the repair will actually hold.

When the Journey Hits a Wall

When the Journey Hits a Wall

RV problems have a knack for showing up at the worst possible moments. You might be halfway to your favorite spot when you notice:

  • A rhythmic vibration shaking the steering wheel on the 210
  • Lights that flicker or outlets that quit the moment you plug in at the site
  • That dreaded pool of water on the floor or a fridge that won't stay cold
  • Structural dings from a tight corner or a distracted driver

These aren't just mechanical setbacks. They eat into your vacation time and your budget. Dealing with the aftermath (the parts, the specialized labor, the insurance adjusters) can feel like a full-time job you never applied for.

A One-Stop Shop for Upland RV Owners

No two rigs fail in exactly the same way. That’s why we don’t offer a “one size fits all” solution. At McBride’s RV Service & Paint, we handle the specific quirks of your vehicle in-house, from routine RV maintenance that keeps you road-ready to addressing the slow wear of local travel or even a sudden collision. We manage the entire process from start to finish.

Engine Diagnostics Repair

Engine, Chassis, and Smooth Handling

We look at the bones of the machine. From engine tuning to suspension tweaks, our techs work on Freightliner and Spartan Chassis to make sure your drive is actually comfortable again.

Solving Electrical Mysteries

Wiring issues are notoriously frustrating. We use high-end diagnostic tools to find the ghost in the machine, whether it is a dead battery bank or a faulty control board in your electronics.

Keeping the Living Space Livable

If the A/C dies in the middle of a Southern California summer, the trip is over. We service the brands you actually use, like Dometic and Aqua-Hot, to keep your interior feeling like home.

RV COLLISION BODY REPAIR SERVICES

Collision and Body Work

Accidents happen. Our expert body repair team has spent decades refining the art of restoring RV structures—carefully bringing everything back into alignment and ensuring your vehicle is just as safe, strong, and road-ready as the day it left the factory.

WHY ROOF INTEGRITY MATTERS MORE THAN YOU THINK

Stopping Leaks Before They Sink You

Water is the enemy. We perform deep-dive inspections and use professional-grade sealants to stop rot before it becomes a five-figure structural disaster.

THE MCBRIDES SOLUTION EXPERTISE YOU CAN TRUST in rv painting

Paint Work That Actually Matches

In our 40-foot paint booth, we use PPG-certified techniques. This isn't a "close enough" color match; it’s a factory-quality finish that makes the damage look like it never happened.

THE FRUSTRATION OF RV REPAIRS

How We Handle Repairs Differently

The philosophy at McBride’s is pretty straightforward: we take the stress off your plate by doing the job right. You won't find yourself bouncing between a mechanic for the engine and a body shop for the panels.

Here is how we actually work:

  • We look at the whole vehicle, catching the "hidden" issues before they strand you later.
  • We talk to you like a human being, explaining what’s broken and why.
  • We stick to the high standards required by our certifications.
  • We take over the insurance phone calls so you don't have to.

The result is a repair with zero guesswork. We don't do "patch jobs."

Why Local Drivers Choose McBride’s

We have been part of the Southern California RV scene since 1967. You don't last that long by cutting corners. It takes a level of consistency that most shops just can't maintain.

Specialized Knowledge for Complex Rigs

An RV is a house on wheels, which means it needs a specialist who understands both plumbing and piston rings. Our mechanics holds certifications from:

  • RVIA
  • Freightliner & Spartan Chassis
  • Cummins Onan
  • Aqua-Hot and Dometic
  • PPG Refinishing

A Facility Designed for Heavy Lifting

Most shops aren't built for 40-foot vehicles. We are.

  • Precision Alignment: We house a full-size alignment rack, a rarity in California, to ensure your tires don't wear out prematurely.
  • Professional Paint Booth: Our 40-foot booth allows us to handle full-body refinishing in a controlled environment.
  • Serious Equipment: This is a purpose-built facility designed for major structural and mechanical overhauls.

We Take the Lead on Insurance Claims

If you have been in an accident, the last thing you want is a fight with an insurance company. We work with the big names every day:

  • Progressive
  • AAA
  • GEICO
  • National General (GMAC)

We handle the documentation and the back-and-forth, ensuring the claim is processed correctly so the repairs can actually move forward.

Labor rate is kinda high so I’d only use them for the stuff I couldn’t do myself. Overall good experience. Seemed like it was there longer than needed could’ve been waiting on parts not sure. I’d use them again. - 6/17/2026

I took my 1997 renovation project Fleetwood PaceArrow in for major mechanical service. I also paid for an hour of inspection on my failed slide out and got a great quote on the labor and parts for when I'm ready to invest in that repair next. I was a little weary initially that the service price on the phone when I called was told to me as around $500 range and then in person at drop-off the price was actually around $900 for the major service. But the girl who took my appointment over the phone had warned me that she was new and wasn't certain of the prices on anything. The service was great and I'm glad I chose to continue despite the wide price difference to what I was anticipating. Mike and Danny are stellar, and I know the place I'll be bringing my renovation back to with any repair needs in the future that I can't handle myself. The quotes for the slide out, and suggested drive train work, were both also very reasonable. - 6/04/2026

We had invisible brakes installed on our jeep to tow behind our coach. They worked extra hard to finish the job so we could take the jeep on vacation. Thank you McBride's RV. - 3/22/2026

Took my toy hauler for an estimate to fix slide, generator and transfer fuel pump. Parts needed to be ordered and since I had a trip coming up I picked up my trailer. When parts arrived took it back and it was completed in 2 days. Their staff is very friendly. What I really like about them is their scheduling. Gave me a date and time for both drop offs and pick ups. I was very satisfied with their work and highly recommend them. - 3/12/2026

Smart Maintenance Most People Skip

While your rig is in the shop, it is the best time to tackle the preventative stuff. We often suggest bundling a few key checks:

  • A thorough roof inspection to find sun-cracked seals.
  • A/C pressure tests before the heat hits.
  • Generator tune-ups so you aren't stuck without power when you're off the grid.

These small moves are the best way to dodge a massive bill during peak travel season.
