RV Repair in Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Rancho Cucamonga rigs live a harder life than most. They stage out of storage lots along Foothill and 8th Street, climb the Cajon Pass on the way to Vegas or the Sierra, and sit the rest of the year under sun that works on paint and roof sealant from the alluvial bench down to the 210. McBride's RV Service & Paint has been fixing this kind of wear since 1967. We are a full RV repair, collision, and paint shop in Chino, about twenty-five minutes down the 15 and the 60.

What breaks first on an RV in Rancho Cucamonga?

Usually the roof and the brakes, and both for local reasons. Start with the wind. When a Santa Ana event pours off the pass, anything parked in the open gets sandblasted, and the leading edge of the roof membrane takes the worst of it. Lifted edge trim, torn lap sealant, and cracked skylights are what we find afterward. Our roof repair and replacement service handles everything from a reseal to a full membrane. Then there are the grades. A loaded coach coming down from Big Bear or the high desert cooks its brakes if the exhaust brake or tow/haul mode is not doing its share. We inspect, service, and replace RV brakes as part of full chassis repair and maintenance, on Ford F-53 gas chassis and Freightliner and Spartan diesels alike.

Where can I get RV body and paint work near Rancho Cucamonga?

At our shop in Chino, where the enclosed booth is big enough to take a 40-foot coach with room to work around it. Sun fade on the fiberglass cap, oxidized gelcoat, a swiped corner from a tight storage aisle, or a full-body repaint after fifteen years of Inland Empire sun: all of it runs through our paint and body shop with PPG color matching so a repaired panel disappears into the coach around it. If another party or a storm did the damage, our insurance claims service writes the estimate and works your adjuster directly. We are a preferred shop for several carriers and deal with AAA, Progressive, and GEICO constantly.

Does McBride's service RV generators, air conditioners, and appliances?

Yes. We are a Cummins Onan authorized service center, so generator service and repair follows factory intervals with factory parts. That includes a load test, which is how you catch a set that idles fine but folds the moment two air conditioners ask for power. Speaking of which: roof A/C service matters more here than most places, because a unit that limps through spring will quit in the first week of triple digits. We also service water heaters and Aqua-Hot systems, slide-outs, awnings, and windows, and run scheduled upkeep through our RV maintenance program.

Do you work on travel trailers from Rancho Cucamonga?

Constantly. Rancho Cucamonga's driveways hold a lot of bumper-pull trailers and fifth wheels, and our travel trailer repair service covers frames, axles, bearings, brakes, siding, and every house system inside. A trailer that shimmies on the 15 or a fifth wheel with a soft floor gets diagnosed the same way a half-million-dollar pusher does: we find it, show it to you, and fix what you approve.

How do I get my rig from Rancho Cucamonga to McBride's?

Take the 15 south to the 60 west, exit Central Avenue in Chino, and we are minutes away at 13788 Oaks Ave. From the western neighborhoods, Archibald or Vineyard south to the 60 works just as well. It is an easy tow-vehicle run, and worth it: one shop visit can cover the roof, the brakes, the generator, and the paint scratch, instead of four visits to four specialists. Call (909) 627-7566 before you head down and we will schedule the bay.

What will the RV repair cost

    What will the repair cost?

You get the number before we start the work. Every estimate carries a parts budget stated up front, and the final number moves only with the actual parts your coach turns out to need, never without your approval. You will also see the problem yourself: our techs walk you to the rig and show you the failed seal or the worn pad before you decide. That habit is most of the reason our customers come back.

    Frequently Asked Questions

My RV took wind damage in a storage lot. Is that an insurance job?

Often yes, under the comprehensive portion of an RV policy. We photograph and document the damage and work with your adjuster, so start with a call before you accept a number over the phone.

Can you handle a full-body repaint on a 38-foot coach?

Yes. Our enclosed booth takes coaches to 40 feet, indoors and dust-free, with PPG color matching.

Do you service diesel pushers and gas Class As?

Both. Freightliner and Spartan diesel chassis and the Ford F-53 gas chassis are everyday work, from oil and coolant to brakes and suspension.

How long does a roof reseal take?

Typically a few days depending on what the inspection finds under the old sealant. A full membrane replacement runs longer; we give you a timeline with the estimate.

Is there a maintenance schedule you recommend for stored RVs?

Yes: annual roof and seal inspection, generator exercise monthly under load, brake and bearing checks before the first big trip of the year. Our maintenance program packages this.

Where is the shop and when can I come in?

13788 Oaks Ave, Chino, CA 91710, Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM. Call (909) 627-7566 and we will set the appointment.

Labor rate is kinda high so I’d only use them for the stuff I couldn’t do myself. Overall good experience. Seemed like it was there longer than needed could’ve been waiting on parts not sure. I’d use them again. - 6/17/2026

I took my 1997 renovation project Fleetwood PaceArrow in for major mechanical service. I also paid for an hour of inspection on my failed slide out and got a great quote on the labor and parts for when I'm ready to invest in that repair next. I was a little weary initially that the service price on the phone when I called was told to me as around $500 range and then in person at drop-off the price was actually around $900 for the major service. But the girl who took my appointment over the phone had warned me that she was new and wasn't certain of the prices on anything. The service was great and I'm glad I chose to continue despite the wide price difference to what I was anticipating. Mike and Danny are stellar, and I know the place I'll be bringing my renovation back to with any repair needs in the future that I can't handle myself. The quotes for the slide out, and suggested drive train work, were both also very reasonable. - 6/04/2026

We had invisible brakes installed on our jeep to tow behind our coach. They worked extra hard to finish the job so we could take the jeep on vacation. Thank you McBride's RV. - 3/22/2026

Took my toy hauler for an estimate to fix slide, generator and transfer fuel pump. Parts needed to be ordered and since I had a trip coming up I picked up my trailer. When parts arrived took it back and it was completed in 2 days. Their staff is very friendly. What I really like about them is their scheduling. Gave me a date and time for both drop offs and pick ups. I was very satisfied with their work and highly recommend them. - 3/12/2026
