Reliable RV Generator Repair for Yorba Linda Travelers

When your RV generator fails to start or quits unexpectedly during a sweltering Southern California afternoon, your entire coach feels sidelined. No air conditioning, no refrigeration, and no power for your devices. For RV owners in Yorba Linda, this is more than a minor annoyance; it can bring a long-awaited family getaway to an abrupt halt.

Whether you are prepping for a local stay near Yorba Regional Park, navigating the Imperial Highway, or pulling out of storage near Eastlake Village, you need power you can count on. That is where McBride’s RV Service & Paint steps in.

THE REAL COST OF GENERATOR FAILURE

The Real Cost of Generator Failure

Generator issues rarely give you a polite heads-up. You might encounter:

  • An engine that cranks but never turns over.
  • A system that runs for a few minutes and then stalls.
  • Erratic power surges or sudden electrical cuts.
  • Unusual noises, smoke, or persistent warning lights.
  • Appliances and A/C units that won’t stay engaged.

For many owners, the true frustration isn't just the mechanical failure, it's the uncertainty of repair. Misdiagnosed issues often lead to expensive, unnecessary parts and wasted time.

Full-Service Solutions Under One Roof

Our facility is designed for serious mechanical and electrical work. We offer:

OEM-grade parts and manufacturer-approved repair protocols.

Advanced diagnostic equipment for gas, diesel, and hybrid systems.

Comprehensive support for related systems like transfer switches and house batteries.

If your generator trouble stems from a deeper fuel or electrical issue elsewhere in the coach, we can fix it right here. No need to bounce between multiple vendors.

A METHODICAL APPROACH TO GETTING YOU BACK OUTDOORS

A Methodical Approach to Getting You Back Outdoors

At McBride’s, we don’t believe in guesswork. Our repair process is technician-driven and refined by decades of hands-on experience. We perform a comprehensive diagnostic of your entire system, including:

  • Fuel delivery and cooling efficiency
  • Electrical output and load testing
  • Control board health and safety shutoffs

By identifying the root cause rather than just treating the symptom, we provide clear options so you can make an informed decision. Our goal is to ensure you have reliable power that you don't have to think twice about.

Why Yorba Linda Chooses McBride’s

While many shops claim to "work on generators," we are certified to repair them properly. Since 1967, McBride’s RV Service & Paint has been a staple in Southern California. Our technicians are certified by Cummins Onan, the industry gold standard.

This expertise is vital because a generator doesn't operate in a vacuum; it’s integrated with your RV’s climate control, safety systems, and complex electrical grid. It’s precision work that requires a specialized facility. This is why owners across Orange County trust our Chino location for high-stakes reliability.

Labor rate is kinda high so I’d only use them for the stuff I couldn’t do myself. Overall good experience. Seemed like it was there longer than needed could’ve been waiting on parts not sure. I’d use them again. - 6/17/2026

I took my 1997 renovation project Fleetwood PaceArrow in for major mechanical service. I also paid for an hour of inspection on my failed slide out and got a great quote on the labor and parts for when I'm ready to invest in that repair next. I was a little weary initially that the service price on the phone when I called was told to me as around $500 range and then in person at drop-off the price was actually around $900 for the major service. But the girl who took my appointment over the phone had warned me that she was new and wasn't certain of the prices on anything. The service was great and I'm glad I chose to continue despite the wide price difference to what I was anticipating. Mike and Danny are stellar, and I know the place I'll be bringing my renovation back to with any repair needs in the future that I can't handle myself. The quotes for the slide out, and suggested drive train work, were both also very reasonable. - 6/04/2026

We had invisible brakes installed on our jeep to tow behind our coach. They worked extra hard to finish the job so we could take the jeep on vacation. Thank you McBride's RV. - 3/22/2026

Took my toy hauler for an estimate to fix slide, generator and transfer fuel pump. Parts needed to be ordered and since I had a trip coming up I picked up my trailer. When parts arrived took it back and it was completed in 2 days. Their staff is very friendly. What I really like about them is their scheduling. Gave me a date and time for both drop offs and pick ups. I was very satisfied with their work and highly recommend them. - 3/12/2026
